Jennifer Kraus knows her way around the world, and is not an easy target for scammers, which is why they targeted her mother. Scams these days slip and slide from analog to digital. The one that we’re talking about today cost about $1000. It arrived via snail mail and email to the same home.

Scammers have access to the same data as data brokers these days, which makes it easier for them to target people who are more likely to fall for a scam. Hear how the same scam was sent to our guest’s parents–one via email and one via regular mail, and all the beats of a crime that ultimately cost this couple on a fixed income big time.

This week’s Tin Foil Swan discusses how to protect the senior citizens in your life from a variety of attacks.
